What ...is typing does
...is typing is a private AI journaling app. You write diary entries; the app generates a compassionate AI response. Your entries and the AI responses are stored securely in our database so you can revisit them.
What we collect

What we do NOT do
- Sell your data to third parties
- Share your diary entries with anyone
- Use your entries to train AI models
- Display advertising based on your content
- Access your entries without your knowledge
AI and your entries
When you submit a diary entry, the text is sent to a third-party AI provider (currently a large language model API) to generate a response. Only the text of your entry is sent — no identifying metadata is attached.
We do not use your entries to fine-tune or train any AI model, including the one that generates your responses. Your words are input, not training data.
Data storage and security
Your data is stored in a managed cloud database with encryption at rest and in transit. We use industry-standard security practices. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Deletion — ask us to delete your account and all associated data
- Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Portability — request an export of your diary entries in a machine-readable format
Children
...is typing is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us immediately.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notice. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
