A private AI diary that listens, remembers, and responds with genuine emotional intelligence. Here is a full look at every feature — from voice input and mood tracking to multilingual support and PDF export.
Writing your diary
Write freely — as little or as much as you like. Every entry gets a thoughtful AI response, crafted just for what you've shared in that moment. Drafts are saved automatically so nothing is ever lost mid-thought.
Tap the microphone and speak. Your words are transcribed in real time and treated exactly like a written entry. The diary waits patiently — up to five seconds of silence — so you can pause to think without losing your place.
Attach any image to an entry — a moment, a screenshot, something you want to remember. A vision model reads the image and describes it, so the AI can respond meaningfully even if you write nothing else. You can also add a caption: a short note, a memory, or just a thought about what it shows.
After writing, you can generate a piece of AI artwork inspired by your entry. It's yours to keep — a visual echo of what you wrote. You can also generate artwork from any message in the conversation thread.
Every entry becomes a conversation. After the AI responds, you can reply, push back, add more, or just keep talking. The full thread is preserved indefinitely. You can return to an old entry days or weeks later and pick up exactly where you left off.
How the AI thinks
Most AI tools respond to everything. This one doesn't.
Each response carries a single insight — chosen by a weighted scoring engine from several possible directions: a pattern it's noticed, a contradiction in what you've shared, a meaningful shift in how you're talking about something, or simply a moment of warm presence.
It never stacks observations. It never offers unsolicited advice. It says one true thing, and leaves room for you.
After two consecutive deep responses, the AI steps back. No pattern references. No reflections. Just presence — a warm reply that holds space without analysis.
Depth feels earned here. It's not the default.
The AI tracks recurring themes, emotional patterns, and internal contradictions across your entries — silently at first, then gradually more explicitly as confidence builds. Patterns that stop appearing naturally fade. Nothing is held against you indefinitely.
Every eight entries or so, it surfaces a quiet moment: something it's been noticing. One pattern, one emotional trend, one open question. Not a report. More like a friend who's been paying attention.
Past entries build a growing understanding of you — your communication style, the people and places that matter, emotional patterns, and things you'd prefer not to revisit. This context is passed silently into every response, so it always knows who it's talking to.
Images you've shared are part of this memory too. A photo from months ago might be gently echoed in a future response — not referenced clinically, but the way a friend might say "that reminds me of what you showed me once."
The AI will ask, once, whether it can use your first name. If you say no, it never asks again. Your answer is stored and respected permanently.
Light moments
Ask for a joke. A riddle. A short story. Something heartwarming. The diary responds directly and warmly, without redirecting you back to journaling. It reads the room.
Funny when you need light. Quiet when you need to be held.
Mood and wellbeing
Every entry is quietly tagged with one to three primary moods and confidence scores. You don't have to do anything — it happens in the background and informs how the AI responds. Mood tags are displayed on each entry in your timeline and search results.
If an entry signals high distress, the AI responds with pure presence — no pattern references, no contradictions, nothing analytical. Just warmth.
Optionally, you can enable a follow-up check-in email for high-distress entries. It's entirely opt-in and user-controlled. The diary takes your wellbeing seriously without being intrusive about it.
Personalisation
Give your diary any name you like. It appears throughout the app — and shapes how the AI thinks of the space. Some names unlock something special.
Name your diary after a known film or TV character and the AI will study their voice — their patterns, their phrasing, their tone — and respond in that spirit. Harmful traits are always filtered. The character is a lens, not a licence.
Choose from four visual themes. Parchment — warm aged paper with a candlelit vignette. Midnight — deep navy with softly fading animated stars. Ember — near-black with rising ember particles and a flickering firelit gradient that breathes like a real flame. Personal Photo — upload your own image as the background, with an adjustable overlay darkness slider so text always stays readable.
Pick your preferred journal entry font — Default (typewriter), Elegant (Cormorant serif), or Calligraphy (Tangerine script) — and your preferred entry text size. Separately, choose the interface font (Elegant Garamond, Classic Georgia, or Clean System) and interface size for menus, labels, and navigation. Set your date format and auto-save behaviour. Small things, but they make it feel like yours.
The full interface is available in English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, Greek, Hindi, Klingon, and Quenya. The AI always responds in whichever language you're writing in.
Finding and sharing your entries
Search all your entries by keyword, date range, or both. Results return in real time so you can find a specific moment quickly.
A scrollable chronological record of everything you've written — dates, entry previews, mood tags, and any attached images — in one place.
Export your journal as a clean, formatted PDF in two modes. Full journal includes every entry alongside the AI's responses, images, and captions — in chronological order. My entries only exports just what you wrote, with no AI responses, for a clean personal record. Both modes embed any photos or AI artwork attached to each entry. Yours to keep, archive, or print.
Getting started
The first time you sign in, the diary asks what you'd like to call it. Give it a name — any name — and it becomes yours immediately. Skip it if you're not ready, and come back to it in Settings whenever you like.
Streaks and engagement
The diary tracks your consecutive writing days and celebrates milestones. A two-day grace period means a single missed day won't break your streak. A gentle nudge — not a pressure.
A button on the writing screen that asks the diary to look back through your recent entries and suggest where to pick up. It finds a specific thread — a person you mentioned, a situation you were navigating, a feeling you left unfinished — and offers a warm, personal prompt to help you begin.
The prompt appears as a temporary overlay. It is not saved to your diary. It is simply a way back in.
Privacy and security
No ads. No data selling. No third parties with access to your entries. Everything you write is private, stored securely, and used for one purpose only: responding to you.
You can delete any entry at any time. You are always in control of what is stored and what is remembered.
